Grassroots & Elite Youth Player Development Strategy Meeting Held

Gibraltar FA Technical Director, Desi Curry, yesterday held an initial strategy meeting to open a from of consultation and co operation with Gibraltar clubs and coaches in which he presented ideas for the way forward for the 2017/18 season and beyond. 

The discussion group will now provide feedback on implementing technical and developmental ideas around youth football covering all youngsters from the ages of 6-18.

The GFA Technical Director also presented information on the UEFA Elite Youth Development Player Programme, and began to lay the foundations in relation to the creation of development squads for youth players for 12, 14 and 16 year olds, in order to give them the best possible preparation for UEFA Development and Qualification tournaments.

More information will be announced on these matters in the lead up to the 2017/18 season.
