Coaching Courses running this weekend

This weekend sees a variety of Coaching Courses which the Gibraltar FA is running as part of our partnership with the Welsh Football Trust – the coaching arm of the Football Association of Wales.

As a major part of our Coaching Education programme, the following courses are being be held on the Rock over the course of the next couple of days:

  • FAW First Aid Award
  • FAW Safeguarding Award
  • FAW Goalkeepers Award
  • Football Leaders Award
  • Introduction to Futsal

All coaches are advised to complete the FAW First Aid and Safeguarding Awards (if they have not done so already) as they help develop an awareness of first aid techniques within a football environment in addition to supporting good practice when working with children and vulnerable adults.

Courses such as the FAW Goalkeepers Award, Football Leaders Award and Introduction to Futsal are both theoretical and practical. Online resources are provided to candidates in order to help support activities on the pitch.

Additionally, the GFA’s Grassroots team have collaborated with a number of local schools and will be holding a Football Leaders Award for A-level students and teachers alike in order to help build a good foundation of football practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on engaging Gibraltar’s youngsters.

Best of luck to all involved!
