Referees Course - Want to become a Match Official?

Reasons to Referee

More and more people of all ages, genders, races and abilities are getting into refereeing.

For current and potential match officials, refereeing is a great way to:

• Give something back to the game you love
• Remain involved in the game after injury or retirement
• Play a vital role in ensuring players enjoy the game
• Increase participation in the game
• Make new and lasting friends
• Keep fit and healthy
• A potential career for those who wish to progress to the top

As football develops the demand for referees has increased particularly at grassroots level. Why not help in meeting the  challenge of providing qualified referees for all competitive matches at grassroots level.  A Referees’ Course for Beginners will be held from Tuesday 25th September to Tuesday 2nd October 2018 at The Annexe, Victoria Stadium. Any person over the age of 15 years can take this course. There will be theoretical and practical presentations on the Laws of the Game and their application. Participants will also need to take a physical fitness assessment.

Make a difference to the Game by taking up the whistle and help in the development of football.
