Lincoln Red Imps FC Ease into the UCL Prelim Qualifiers Final

Gibraltar champions Lincoln Red Imps FC easily booked their place in Fridays UEFA Champions League Preliminary Qualifiers final by seeing of La Fiorita 2-0 at the Victoria Stadium. 

An early goal from Gibraltar International Anthony Hernandez set the tone for Lincoln who controlled the game, and brilliant individual effort from Alejandro Moreno in the 51st minute sealed the victory. 

It was only the woodwork that prevented Lincoln from winning by an even greater margin as a Joseph Chipolina wonder strike from distance crashed into the crossbar before the half time interval.

In the Early kick off at the Victoria Stadium, the first Semi Final saw FC Santa Coloma from Andorra take on FC Drita from Kosovo. With neither team able to break the deadlock in the 90 minutes, the semi final went into extra time. Xhevedet Shabani gave FC Drita the lead in the 99th minute and claimed the honour of scoring the 1st goal in this season's UEFA Champions League. Fidan  Gerbheshi then completed the scoring in first half stoppage time in extra time  and booked Drita's place in Friday's final versus Lincoln Red Imps FC.
