The Luisito Bonavia Trophy 2018

After the two international friendly matches against Scotland, the domestic futsal season kicks off on Wednesday night with the traditional curtain-raiser, the Luisito Bonavia Trophy match between last season’s treble winners Lynx FC and Phoenix FC.

It promises to be a thrilling encounter between Gibraltar’s top two futsal teams.

The match will take place at the Tercentenary Sports Hall on Bayside Road, with kick off set for 9pm.

The domestic league season will also kick off this coming weekend, with the launch of the newly revamped league structure featuring 26 clubs - a First Division with 12 teams and a Second Division with 14 teams. All First Division matches will take place in the Tercentenary Sports Hall, with Lynx FC and Europa FC kicking off proceedings on Saturday 3rd November. The new Second Division will launch simultaneously in the Victoria Stadium Sports Hall with the opening match between Lions Gibraltar FC and Koala FC, both matches kick off at 4pm.

Domestic futsal is back with a vengeance – so head on down to the Bayside Sports Complex and catch some of the action tomorrow night and over the weekend!
