GFA PART-TIME COACHING VACANCIES:
- 12-16 YEARS OLD (Development Squads
- 17-19 YEARS OLD (European Qualification)
Strategy
As part of the GFA Technical and strategic review, we are asking suitably qualified part-time coaches to apply for the below positions in our various Elite Youth age groups.
These age groups will be split into two distinct groups:
- Elite Development squads-12-16 years.
- International Youth squads-17-19 years.
It is anticipated that these roles will be conducted on a part-time and on an hourly rate basis. It is anticipated that we will engage up to 10 successful candidates once the process is completed.
Professional Qualities:
Development Squads
- Current Football Leaders award, or higher.
- Current Safeguarding certificate.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Background in Developing and coaching young players within and including the last 3 years.
- Background in analysis and or strength and conditioning desirable.
- Recent criminal records check or willing to undergo.
European Qualification Squads
- Minimum-recognised current Level 2, B Licence or above.
- Working towards B Licence will also be considered.
- Current Safeguarding certificate.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Background in Developing and coaching youth players within and including the last 3 years.
- Background in analysis and or strength and conditioning desirable.
- Having already completed and or willing to undergo criminal records checks.
Personal Qualities
- Demonstrate Football specific knowledge.
- Good communication and presentational skills.
- Ability/experience of working with parents and Club coaches
- Reporting skills.
- Ability to demonstrate IT skills.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
Process
Applicants who meet the above criteria are asked to:
- Submit their qualifications and Current CV via email to the GFA's Technical Director: desi.curry@gibraltarfa.com by no later than 6th January 2020 (applications received after this date will not be considered).\
- Shortlisted applicants will be asked to participate in a short formal interview and present their CV/ portfolio via power point to the Technical Director.
- Shortlisted applicants will be required to coach a 40min session with GFA or Club youth players at the Victoria Stadium.
- This coached session will form part of the Summative process and be formally assessed by the GFA Technical Director and a member of the FAW CE staff.
- Successful applicants will be offered positions as soon as the process has been completed (Feb 2020)
- Renumeration will be based on current qualifications (£10, £12, £15 per hour)
- Successful applicants will be expected to work a minimum of 6-10 hrs per week.
