The Gibraltar FA has been closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation in and around Gibraltar with COVID-19. This weekend, all football activity was suspended until further notice. Continuing on the same line of taking every necessary precaution and action to play its part in fighting against the spread of COVID-19, the Gibraltar FA has today made the decision to implement a Work From Home policy and close its Irish Town Office and Official Store as from Monday 16th March 2020.
The Gibraltar FA has been developing this plan for some time, and is confident that its staff is adequately set up to function remotely. All lines of communication will therefore remain open and active from 0900 to 1700 as per normal, but we urge the public not to come to the office or the store as they will physically be closed.
This current situation is far greater and more important than sport. It is a time for the whole of Gibraltar to come together and take care of each other, especially those most vulnerable. With this in mind, the Gibraltar FA takes this opportunity to stress the importance of following the instructions of Gibraltar Health Professionals, Public Health Gibraltar, HM Government of Gibraltar and all other relevant persons who are working tirelessly to keep the community as safe as possible.
