Lincoln Red Imps retained their league title this weekend, with one fixtue of the domestic season to go with a 2-0 victory over their main rivals Europa FC.

In what was to be a hard fought encounter, at the Victoria Stadium, it was Lincoln captain and stalwart, Roy Chipolina who in front of a packed out main stand, fired in just before half time to break the deadlock.

And in the 53rd minute, a Europa FC 'old boy', Kike Gomez, came back to haunt his old side. The striker latched ontop a horrible mix up between Ibrahim Ayew and Munoz in the Europa goal, intercepting Ayew's back pass to slot in Lincoln's second.

Europa themselves had chances but simply couldn't find a way past Soler in the Lincoln goal.

So it's Champions League Football for Lincoln in the summer, and Europa FC will now focus on trying to win a 3rd consecutive Gibtelecom Cup as they play Gibraltar United in the final on the 26th May.
