With supporters finally allowed back into the Victoria Stadium to watch the World Cup Qualifier between Gibraltar and the Netherlands (albeit inder strict Public Health Restrictions), both teams observed a poigniant moment of remembrance ahead of kick off for those who have lost their lives during the COVID 19 pandemic.

The remembrance ceremony began with Gibraltar Supporters in the east stand holding up a specially made black Gibraltar shirt bearing the message: "They are not dead who live in the hearts they leave behind" along with a symbolic candle.

Players from both Gibraltar and Holland then gathered around the centre circle, and on the referee's whistle, a bugler from the Royal Gibraltar Regiment played 'The Last Post' in memory of all who have unfortunately lost their battle with COVID 19.

The ceremony was observed by all impeccably and served as a stark reminder of the tough times we have all been through during the pandemic.
