Week 1 of the Gibraltar Football Association’s Summer Camp has so far seen over 160 children take part in sessions every morning at the Europa Point Sport Complex, from 9am to 10.30am.

With an overwhelming number of subscriptions this year, the Summer Camp has been split into two with 160 children registered for this week’s sessions, and then a completely new intake of over 150 children who are to attend week two.

As a result over 300 children will be able to enjoy fun themed football sessions put on by Gibraltar FA coaches overseen by the Youth Football Department.

The coaching staff for this year’s Summer Camp includes Gibraltar men’s and women’s senior internationals Jayce Olivero, Dahlia Salah, Kayleigh Tellez, Mollie Karp, Josie Cummings, Anthony Hernandez and Shania Robba, all of whom are proving to be extremely popular amongst the children.

Sessions are run according to the children’s school years meaning they get to enjoy the summer camp with their school friends and colleagues.

This year’s camp has seen the launch of the Gibraltar FA’s new Mascots Tarik, Barbara and Nelson, who were named thanks to the extremely well received social media competitions, and were loved by the children. All three are set to make further appearances at the Summer Camp!
