The Gibraltar FA is in the process of distributing a total of €497,971 of UEFA Youth Solidarity Funding amongst its Member Clubs.
This amount, which is allocated to the Gibraltar FA by UEFA from its annual Club Competition revenues, is distributed to Clubs, by the Gibraltar FA, to use for Youth Development.
In principle, the money is to be shared equally among all top-division clubs not involved in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League group stages, but a different distribution criteria may be implemented provided it is approved by UEFA and based on defined youth development criteria. In any event, in order to receive funding, a club must at least run an approved youth development programme in accordance with the Gibraltar FA Club Licensing Manual accredited by UEFA.
This is the fourth year in which the Gibraltar FA distributes UEFA Solidarity Funding to Gibraltar Clubs, in accordance with a distribution model agreed upon by all Gibraltar Clubs and the Gibraltar FA, meaning a total of ten Gibraltar Clubs are eligible to receive the funding.
